The Warrnambool Racing Club is proud to host the $304,000 Haymes Paint Jericho Cup, honouring the heroic Light Horsemen and their magnificent horses, The Walers, for their heroic deeds in the Middle East from 1914-1919. Revived in its centenary year, this special race day commemorates the 100 year anniversary of the Jericho Cup and will be run as a 4,600m flat race across the Brierly Paddock. All Veterans can enter the course free of charge on Jericho Cup day. Just show your Veterans card at the gate. The Jericho Cup takes place annually on the 4th Sunday after the Melbourne Cup.
